Reiki

Reiki, a form of energy healing, is originally from Japan. It has been practiced and taught for 1000's of years. Reiki practitioners use a gentle technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is transferred into the patient. This energy helps clear emotional and physical blockages within the body. Most people experience a deep sense of relaxation.

Healing Touch (HT) is a gentle and non-invasive energetic support that compliments conventional health care and is used in collaboration with other methods.
It is a heart centered and intentional energy balancing method to enhance, support and facilitate healing and well-being. Developed by Janet Mentgen, an American nurse who saw gaps in care when it came to patient preparation and recovery during varying medical procedures. HT has been adopted by many hospitals in the States and has been found to ease pain and anxiety and speed recovery post surgery in 1000’s of patients.
This over the clothes, light or no touch technique is designed to clear, open and balance the chakra centers and energy fields of the Human Energy System. A HT session allows a quiet space for a deeper look and intentional focus on one’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body aspects. HT is not affiliated with any religion or particular belief system and can be adapted by anyone.
HT is usually offered as an in person session but can also be done via “distance healing”, please specify which you prefer upon booking. An in-depth initial intake process allows client and practitioner a more well rounded view to decide the intention for each session. Healing is more fully supported for ourselves when we play an active role in the journey. And it is a journey! Setting meaningful intentions for healing (or any aspect of one’s life) engages us in the process of self discovery, honouring where we’ve been and releasing what no longer serves our highest good.

I am a dedicated Manual Osteopath who graduated from the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada (MOCC). My healthcare journey began with a comprehensive five-year education in physical therapy(DPT) in Pakistan, which included a year of experience as a practicing physiotherapist. As a manual osteopath, I am driven by the belief that true health is rooted in movement. Manual osteopathy is a versatile, hands-on therapy that benefits individuals dealing with both acute and chronic pain. I have had the privilege of working with athletes from various sports, including hockey and soccer. My practice also extends to treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, and pelvic floor issues, as well as chronic headaches, including migraines. My passion for manual osteopathy was ignited by a desire to help people live pain-free lives. This commitment has been strengthened through continuous study in pain science and evidence-based research. I utilize a range of techniques, including osteo-articular corrections, visceral manipulations, craniosacral therapy, and fascial release. Additionally, I integrate rehabilitation exercises, focusing on strengthening and stretching, to restore balance within the body and enhance overall well-being. Outside of my professional life, I am an avid nature enthusiast, always seeking new mountains to climb—both literally and metaphorically. This love for the outdoors, combined with my passion for continuous learning, fuels my dedication to personal growth and enhances my ability to support my patients on their journey to better health.

After graduating from massage school in 2003, I started my career working in a couple of locations while beginning to grow my practice.

The first opportunity was doing corporate chair massage downtown at City Hall. It was a wonderful experience that lasted 12 years. I was able to explore massage in a different way with a chair instead of a table and learned it’s effectiveness quickly. Chair massage is a great tool to really work into the shoulders, neck, back and hips and working through clothing helped me to develop and add more depth and various techniques to my massage.

At the same time I worked in one of Calgary’s first peri-natal clinics. This was the experience that really shaped my career and who I am as a practitioner because of the wonderful people I mentored under those first few years. This holistic approach to pregnancy massage was supportive and comforting to clients as well as firm and effective while working within the boundaries of safety during this special and sometimes challenging time. It did my heart good to see the relief massage can give in these circumstances. I really enjoyed my 15 years in this specialized field and now take the knowledge and experience with me into other avenues of massage.

As I grew in my practice I was drawn to energy healing and complimentary techniques. In 2018 while looking for something with a scientific backing I was lead to the modality called Healing Touch. Again, I was blessed with a wonderful teacher and mentor who embodies the aspects of gentle yet strong, a force of good in the world. Learning to work in the realm of light or no touch healing was quite the shift after years of therapeutic and deep tissue massage! I adore this work and have seen the most amazing shifts in people on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of their being after clearing and connecting the chakras and energy fields of the body. Healing Touch is an “effortless effort” and provides a beautiful path within sacred space to explore a deeper awareness of oneself while releasing what no longer serves our highest good.

It has been a wonderful journey thus far and I look forward to what the future holds for my community, my family/friends and myself. I enjoy time in nature and gardening, anything to do with being outside and reconnecting to our Earth. This is such a beautiful work and I feel so blessed to be a part of it.

Hello! I am Amber, a Registered Massage Therapist since 2017, providing professional and heart-centered treatments that assist others in coming back into a place of balance.

My interest in healing modalities started back in 2012, when I became fascinated by the body’s innate ability to heal. I started reading everything I could relating to the connection our bodies have with thoughts, emotions, the environment, and nutrition. Out of curiosity, I wound up taking a Reiki Level 1 certification class, which ignited my passion and interest in healing even more, and eventually led me onto my path towards massage therapy.

I graduated from the Advanced 2200-Hour Diploma program at the Alberta Institute of Massage, and immediately began building my practice in Jasper, Alberta, where I was fortunate to meet amazing clients from all over the world. In 2018, I also became certified in the Myofascial Cupping Technique, taught by Dave Sheehan, and this has been one of my favourite modalities that I have learned to date. I often will incorporate the cups into my therapeutic treatments, as I find they can provide such amazing results.

My clientele is broad, and I have treated people from all diverse backgrounds and ages. From clients as young as three years old, to those well into their nineties, athletes, pre and post natal clients, and those suffering with chronic pain conditions. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. I am a nomad-at-heart, so I am particularly fond of hearing people’s adventure stories! If chatting during treatment is not your style, I will gladly hold space for you to come relax and rebalance, in a safe, quiet place.

I am fully certified to provide myofascial release, relaxation, therapeutic, deep tissue, sports massage, pre-and post-natal, as well as myofascial cupping. Along with my massage therapy diploma, I am also certified in foot reflexology and have completed my Reiki Master Practitioner training.

I feel incredibly honored having people trust me as part of their healing and wellness journey, and I so look forward to meeting you and becoming a part of yours!

I have always been on the outskirts of convention. Growing up I wanted pure, chemical free products, my clothing style has never conformed to any particular trend, and my taste in food has always been inspired by the exotic. The first time I heard of a natural doctor I was in. No convincing needed. There had to be something more than the frustration found in the dismissive western conventional medicine we have all come to accept today. As a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine I remember the first time an instructor showed us how -with only a couple needles- he was able to instantly rid my colleague of her headache, right there in the classroom- no drugs needed. It was at that moment that I knew I was on to something.

From there my passion has only grown - exponentially. Seeing results on a regular basis, the look of amazement on my patients’ faces as their pain, anxiety, stress, and whatever else we are working on fade away is incredibly rewarding - unbeatable really. Now, I am helping women deal with the labyrinth of chronic and poorly understood ailments we all undergo on a daily basis. From painful (or absent) periods, the insomnia and night sweats of peri menopause, or the mystery of infertility, my door is open to you. I can’t wait to join you on your journey to an inspired, healthy life.

Initially choosing massage therapy as a change of pace from his previous endeavors, Samuel has discovered a new and deepening interest in the human body and all of its amazing systems and complexities. He takes a holistic approach to treatment and considers not just an individual’s physical condition, but also their overall health, including lifestyle, mental and emotional wellbeing, and previous life experiences or traumas. Samuel predominantly works with clients who have chronic pain or mobility issues, many of whom have been in car accidents.

What should you expect from a massage treatment with Samuel? His treatment process includes a detailed intake which focuses on and beyond your main complaint(s) to learn about your history, goals for treatment, and massage preferences (including music!). No two treatments are the same, and Samuel will meet you where you are at on the day you come in for your massage. He prefers a collaborative approach and readily welcomes feedback so he can offer you a more personalized massage experience. As he frequently tells his clients, you are in the driver’s seat! Following the treatment, Samuel will work with you to develop a feasible plan of care, as well as provide you with relevant homecare and health management strategies.

As a lifelong learner, Samuel enjoys doing research and takes regular massage-related courses in an effort to build a well-informed, evidence-based practice – feel free to ask him about his latest areas of research! His passion is teaching and he hopes to one day instruct other aspiring massage therapists. Outside of massage, Samuel stays active with hiking, biking, and bouldering.
