It works through the body's interstitial and lymphatic system to activate the body's liquid circulation and stimulate the functioning of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems. This soothing technique calms the nervous system, encourages healthy circulation of fluids, and supports the immune system—promoting relaxation, improved sleep, and reduced swelling or puffiness. LDT may be helpful for managing chronic pain, migraines, stress, IBS symptoms like bloating, autoimmune symptoms, nasal congestion, concussion and vertigo symptoms, and general edema (not to be confused with lymphedema). It can also be a powerful support before and after surgery.

Please note: LDT is not suitable for those with active cancer, later-stage lymphedema (stage 2-4), serious circulatory concerns (e.g., blood clots, aneurysms), or major heart conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure, acute angina). If you have any of these conditions, we recommend speaking with your physician and seeking care from a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

Art therapy is a therapeutic practice that uses the creative process as a pathway to healing, insight, and personal growth. Rooted in both psychology and the expressive arts, art therapy engages the mind, body, and spirit—making it a powerful tool for supporting whole-person wellness.

Through painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and other forms of visual expression, individuals are invited to explore their thoughts, emotions, memories, and sensations in a safe and nonverbal way. This process can be especially helpful when words are hard to find, or when the body holds stress and trauma that the mind alone cannot fully process.

Ways that art therapy can help:
- Reduces Stress and Regulates the Nervous System
- Processes Emotions Safely
- Increases Self-Awareness and Emotional Clarity
- Enhances Brain-Body Integration
- Promotes Mindfulness and Presence
- Strengthens Inner Resilience and Self-Compassion

No artistic skill or experience is needed. The goal is not to make “good” art, but to use creative expression as a tool for reflection, release, and integration. Whether someone is navigating illness, emotional distress, life transitions, or simply seeking deeper connection with themselves, art therapy offers a gentle yet profound way to support healing on all levels—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
